Hi. I’m Kamira, a perfectly imperfect person who happens to love God first, creativity, animals and everything in between. I started this blog in 2016 as a creative cathartic way to deal with grief after losing my cat Dusty to cancer. As a pet parent going through the grieving process I wanted to share my personal experience with this process of grief in hopes other grieving pet parents could relate and find validation and comfort with their own feelings.
I can relate.
I’m not a certified grief counselor however I’m a former cat mom who has lived this experience and I have found (and continue to find) many resources to help. All I do know is that we need to take each day one at a time. It’s important to take time to take care of ourselves. Our beloved fur babies would only want us to be our best selves and see us happy. By sharing my journey and personal experiences, I hope this blog helps give you some insight to save you some grief, time and aggravation. I want you to be inspired and start to reclaim the joy in your life.
About the blog…
In this blog I have shared my experiences living life after pet loss through inspiration and art! Over the years it has evolved and I’ve listened to what my community of readers like. So you will not only find grief-related content but also information about fostering, general pet care, life updates and ways to make life less imperfect.
I share my art and designs, ways to make money from home, pet care tips, personal stories of overcoming grief, inspirational quotes and much more. I hope you take this ride with me for the long haul! This blog is meant to share my journey to give you validation and inspiration to help make this imperfect life a little bit better.
I am a Generation X kid and a Jersey girl who has a passion for anything that inspires my creativity. It is when I feel most at peace. I am a wife and forever a cat mom at heart to my two fur babies Precious and Dusty. They have their angel wings now.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. My hobbies include painting, reading, writing, volunteering/fostering cats, finding bargains and travel deals.
My hope is that you join me on this journey and start to heal your heart and feeling inspired again! Let’s go!
