Well did you know today is National Pet Day?
If you are asking yourself, “How did National Pet day come about?” According to PetDayUSA.com,
“National Pet Day was founded in 2006 by Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert, Animal Welfare Advocate Colleen Paige, to celebrate the joy pets bring to our lives and to create public awareness about the plight of many different kinds of animals awaiting a forever home in shelters and rescues all around the globe.”

Those of us that are pet owners, past or present, know all about showing our fur kids lots of love. If you recently suffered pet loss or just looking for new ways to help animals, consider donating, volunteering, or adopting from your local animal shelters.

Today is National Pet Day? Today our peeps are supposed to be spoilin’ us rotten with nip and toys and treats and games and stuff? CLEARLY, my peeps didn’t get the memo. Gonna have to do something ’bout that, for sure. MOUSES!

Love this and Layla woofs Happy National Pet Day. She is getting a bath today which she hates LOL but sun is shining so want to do it, BUT she has been spoiled also by getting a bag of her favorite treats which is chicken jerky with bacon wrapped around it so she cannot complain that I do not spoil her LOL. Plus I am not teaching today so I might take her to the park to spend the afternoon, quality time with no electronics.

For National Pet Day we spent the entire day at the vet! First Beau had his general wellness exam. Then I had clients in the office I share with an integrative veterinarian. So I got to spend time with dogs the entire day! Can’t think of a better way to spend National Pet Day.

Everyday should be National Pet Day!! Pet parents love their animals and make them part of their families moreso than ever before so always time to celebrate. My fav on your list is watching pet movies. I love them all. The best are the Air Buddies movies. So fun and cute!!

Lovely ideas. Kilo the Pug thinks every day is National Pet Day or actually Kilo day. We do photo shoots often – he now goes and sits on his spot and looks at me expectantly hoping for treats if he sees the phone or camera. Speaking of treats, he gets lots while training every day. He loves his food (we just filmed a product review yesterday so he couldn’t believe his good luck- some dinner at lunch time). I got some new toys from Global so I gave him one yesterday. It was kind of nasty outside so we played games inside. I was finally able to hobble around after knee treatment so that made him very happy. Then we had a little nap in the afternoon. I also promoted our video Forever so we can donate to his rescue if it gets shared more. XS
