A memorable year.
The year is ending, and I am so grateful to have survived a chapter of uncertainty, chaos, fear, death, and a pandemic. But like I mentioned in a recent post, I have an unwavering faith that goodness and light always prevails over darkness.
I live in the USA and this past week our national election left me on edge but ended with people cheering in the streets. It was quite the site to see. I cannot remember the last time I have seen such joy.
Humanity first.
I have my own personal opinions on the great divide of this nation, but I will not make this a political post. What I will say is regardless of what position you hold, at the end of the day, I feel our humanity comes first over politics and power. At some point in life, whether you are in the workplace or elsewhere, you will be tested.
There will come a time in life when your ability to uphold your ethics will be put to the test. The choice will be up to you to stay true to yourself and what is right or fall in line with the crowd. At the end of the day, it is a choice you will have to live with when all is said and done.
Breaking records and barriers.
The battle for upholding common decency, respectability, fairness, and humanity was on the line and we as a nation showed up and showed out. And at the same time voters’ broke records and created history making moments. I am really excited about that.
Although divided, I have hope we are on a path to healing through mutual respect, understanding, and unifying.
I have hope that we can learn from our history and create a future that is better than our past.
A new chapter with gratitude.
Through tumultuous times you learn more about yourself, your inner strength and ability to persevere. At the same time, you learn to be thankful and have gratitude.
With all that said, I felt it important to say “Thank you” for your support along the way and sharing this journey with me. I appreciate you all for taking time out of your day to read my content week after week.
I sincerely hope sharing my journey and posts have brought you value to help improve your life and help heal your hearts.
