Flashback Friday- Caught in the act!

Today’s Flashback Friday pics are a blast from the past when I lived in California. This is what happens when you are minding your own business and walk into a room where your cat is getting into things they shouldn’t and get caught in the act. These pictures always make me laugh out loud.

Precious -Busted!

“Hi Mom. Huh? What? What am I doing up here? I was just napping… I would never think of peering through the blinds using my full body weight.”

Dusty – Busted!

“I wasn’t playing with that straw ribbon on the gift box. It came frayed like that.”

They always look so innocent don’t they!! I wish I had taken pictures of my cats when they were still alive. Two in particular were always getting into some kind of mischief, then looking like butter wouldn’t melt.

My furballs are regularly busted in trouble. One of them actually broke through my pantry door to get into a bag of (expensive) prescription kibble back in the days before we fed raw. The crowd of them ate the whole bag!

LOL many times especially when Layla is trying to bury a treat in my pillow case, her favorite game but how ever much I do get a bit mad especially if I have not seen it and nearly knock myself out I would not change it for anything

This is just too funny, my kitties also do the same. Cats are so curious that they always get busted doing stuff they shouldn’t =)

One time my cat (a former stray) jumped on the table and started drinking the milk out of my 4-year-old son’s bowl. I clapped my hands and the cat jumped down, the next day he jumped on the table, I told him “no.” I never saw evidence that he jumped on the table again. Not sure if he was just super sneaky or had great self-control. My dogs are a different story.

My dogs just drop whatever they’re doing and just begin wiggling as though nothing bad happened. Sophie is much more adept at this than Rufus, who usually has a “Whoa – how did this hat end up under my paws and partially in my mouth?”

LOL! Oh yeah, my pets have been busted being naughty for sure! Once Icy ripped up one of Phoebe’s beds and it ended up around her Icy’s neck – it was very loose so no real danger. Poor Phoebe.

Ruby has a bad habit of eating cat food. I have to put it up high out of our reach. Well, a few months ago I caught her on the kitchen counter eating the cat food. I had left a chair in the kitchen and she used it to climb on the counter. She looked SO GUILTY when I discovered her!

Oh, my goodness, YES! Our pets are natural entertainers and always look so innocent. We are in puppy stage here with toilet rolls unrolled and taken off of the roller, missing slippers, holes in socks and anything else that suits Gusto’s fancy…lol.

So many cats have stretched the window blinds…lol

Once, I caught Rooney going through my purse and when I walked by the room he was already wrapped in my purse straps. And he totally had that look like, “I swear I wasn’t doing anything!”

Ohhh, that is so precious (and what a purrr-fect in the act! His expression is priceless!) We do a Flashback Friday blog hop, would love to have you join! I just love looking back at photos…I have a few “caught in the acts” with my Huskies and our kitties! They sure do bring smiles to my face! The one that stands out in my mind, is when my now furangel Gibson was rehabbing and needed to rest (yeah, tell that to a Husky! LOL!) and I had a water bed under the window in my kitchen nook, in front of my bookshelf of cookbooks. When I came into the kitchen, he looked up so innocent as a whole collection of them he had pulled off the shelf and was nibbling on a few (that probably had leftover cookie batter on them). I took photos, and laughed. He has been gone now for 2.5 years, and I dearly miss him. When I sit in the nook and come across one of the books he was “reading” – I smile with that memory. Priceless, aren’t they?!
