National Siamese Cat day!-Flashback Friday

Today is National Siamese Cat day!

April 6th is National Siamese cat day! Can you imagine my joy and elation when I found this out? My baby girl Dusty is no longer here however I’m going to take this Friday to remember her and her memory with a collage Flashback Friday post today!

I remember when I started this blog, it was an outlet for me to share my own experiences dealing with pet loss in an effort to also help others validate their own feelings and mix of emotions as well as find ways to cope.

So today, I’m going to take this moment to celebrate and reminisce on why I love Siamese Cats and share a collage of Flashback photos of Dusty. Before I share my own reflections about Dusty, let me share a short video clip about origin and characteristics of the Siamese Cat:

My Inspiration

For those of you who haven’t been following my blog for long, Dusty was the inspiration for this blog and also my cat that died in 2015. She lived to be almost 14 years old and was a Calico and Siamese mix.

Loveable Traits

A few of the lovable traits that defined Dusty’s winning personality were her fearlessness, intelligence, chatty nature and loyalty. For a cat she very much behaved like a puppy. She would hangout with you on the sofa or bed, wait for you at the door after a long day of work and respond to some commands when prompted with treats. She was very inquisitive in nature and always exploring. Dusty was generally always the calm, friendly cat and at times a little mischievous with her sister Precious.

She definitely provided lots of laughs and love during her time with us. She’s at Rainbow bridge now but her spirit lives on in our household.
