#Flashback Friday pics!
TGIF! For today’s flashback Friday post, I wanted to share a few lighthearted pictures. I was scrolling through some old pictures and found some snapshot moments from one of Dusty’s birthday weekends. As you can tell in the photos, she was one happy fluffy cat!
This photo was taken about 5 years ago on Dusty’s birthday. What do you get a cat that has everything? Catnip toys of course! This is her posing next to her goodies!
Playtime! Pre-pounce pose. I got you now sucka!!
A girl’s tired after playtime. I got everything I need now. A bed, catnip toy and catnip ball and a remote! Mom how do I turn this thing on to watch Animal Planet?
I love reminiscing about good times. Did you miss my Hug your Cat Day flashback photo from last week? Check it out here.
Comment and share below. Does your pet have a favorite toy? Do you have a favorite birthday memory to share?
Awe, I am glad she liked her new toy. My old cat used to go crazy for catnip toys too!
Dusty was such a beautiful girl! And it sounds like she was super spoiled too – as it should be! Thanks for sharing these birthday memories with us 🙂
Awww! I love these photos and the memories you’ve shared of Dusty! What a great way to remember all the happy times you’ve shared with Dusty over the years. Thanks so much for sharing and sending love!
Dusty looks a lot like my Grace who is sadly no longer with us. Your post sent me back a few years and since Grace passed before the advent of smart phones and social media, I actually got to pull out my memory box of physical photos to take a sweet trip down memory lane.
Aww! It’s great to reminisce. I love to look back at old photos of Simba and the fam and think about all of the wonderful moments we have created. Can’t wait to create more!
Dusty was such a beautiful cat. I’m glad you have these photos to help remind you of the happy times. My dog Theo has a favorite toy, it is a plush carrot and it is the first plush toy he didn’t destroy. He has had it for almost a year now. I love watching him carry it around and gently mouth it.
I’m always looking at old pictures of my cats sometimes I wonder if I do it too much! But you never want to forget do you?
Dusty was such a beautiful girl! From these photos, it is easy to see how happy she was and what a wonderful life she had. 🙂 I think the great thing about reminiscing (especially when we get enough distance from the tragedy of the loss) is that we can see how beautiful each pet has made our lives. Those of us that have loved a furry friend are truly blessed!
Thanks so much Robin. You are speaking the truth. At this point, I can definitely reminisce with a smile vs. tears. Despite everything, if I had to do it all again, I still would. It was all worth it. Like you said those of us that have loved a furry friend are truly blessed.
Love the photos and Layla has a pink poodle which is so dirty now (am scared it might fall apart if I wash it again) but it was her first toy when she arrived from the shelter and she still plays with it, it is her baby as I say.
I know this sounds crazy but I do not try to dwell in the past but instead enjoy every waking moment with Layla, I have had many pets in the past, Baby my lil hero who ran away with me from abuse, but the sadness it brings causes a black cloud in the house and for me a happy house is very important.
Ruth,
Aww. That is very endearing and sweet Layla still plays with her pink poodle since she was a pup.
Oh no Ruth, it makes very good sense to not dwell in the past. It’s best to celebrate the memories and add positivity in your life. I couldn’t agree more.
Aren’t you glad when we have photos of our wonderful fur children to remember them by? Thankfully, I have many photos of Praline to remember her by because of blogging.
Yes, definitely! Makes me smile and focus on the good times!
So much fun. Our cats have to play with bigger toys because of the dog. 😉 But they love playing in the cat tunnel and chasing each other around.
Those tunnels look so fun for them. When I adopt again, I’ll have to get one.
Aww, what a cutie! Great photos. My cat Maggie loved those tiny cat nip toys more than anything. They were so simple & so inexpensive but she adored every one of the hundreds I bought for her!
Love & Biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
Right? Thank you. Yes, it really doesn’t take much to make our kitties happy.
Each of our cats has a favourite toy and a favourite food, and they are ALL different *eyeroll* It makes me laugh!
We have had several favorite toys, and even a toy box at one point. Then Rufus came along and played too hard with all of them due to puppy exuberance. There might be some toy nostalgia but I doubt it.
LOL
Puck loved those little toy mice. After he passed away I would find them in the oddest places. I kind’ve miss having them around.
I understand exactly what you mean. Months after she passed I still would find toys while cleaning the house.
That looks like quite a collection. I am very thankful for all the photos and videos we have of Jasmine and now of Cookie. That way we can go back in time and revisit all the fun that’s been had.
So true!
Happy Birthday to Dusty!! What a lovely cat! Yes my cats love their mice stuffed with you guessed it … catnip! They also ADORE their Tower of Tracks toy – which is Pumpkins absolute favorite!
Thank you. She was the best!
Awe, what a beautiful girl. Her personality really shines through in these shots.
Thank you!
I need to think about what to get Mr. N for his birthday this year! He already has almost everything so it will be a hard task.
I wish I had more pictures of my previous cats. I need to go through some boxes in my storage unit to find some. I would love to share them on my blog. I enjoy the photos of Dusty!
🙂
