This journey called life is no cake walk. We all have experienced ups and downs and everything in between. Life and its challenges do not discriminate against anyone. Whether you are young or old, rich or poor; the negative aspects of life such as loss, grief, and illness impact us all one way or another.
If I had to recall the toughest time of my life, hands down, it was the death of my cat Dusty. She was my “heart cat” without question. She was such a sweet soul, an innocent little being and the perfect representation of pure unconditional love.
Only a fellow bereaved pet parent can fully grasp the magnitude of the pain that the heart and soul experiences with the death of a furry family member. That kind of heartache and pain I cannot even fully put into words. BUT I can say I survived.

If that type of grief can be compared to the worst storm of the century, I learned it did eventually pass and I made it through a whole different person. I’m so thankful I had a great support system. And I know that Dusty still lives in my heart forever and the love remains. I’m stronger, wiser and grateful. With that said, I hope today’s inspirational quote touches your heart and gives you strength. Know that whatever pain, or difficulty you are experiencing will pass too.
For some, the storm may go and skies will be clear and for others the storm will pass and a few clouds will remain. Remember, you are not alone and you are so much stronger than you realize. You got this!
