Monday Inspiration #84 – Don’t forget your mental health too.

Life is hectic

This quote really resonated with me as we are living in a time that is extra stressful. We are living through a pandemic, adjusting to a new way of living with remote work and learning all while continuing to run our everyday lives.

Dealing with all these things collectively, it’s easy to lose sight of how you are doing physically AND mentally. In an effort to keep the mortgage paid, the kids in school (virtually or not), our furry friends comfortable and food on the table all while staying safe is a big job.

I’m a multitasker and even I have my moments when I feel overwhelmed. Although I am able to practice habits to keep my mental health in check, I understand this may not be so easy for others. I am totally empathetic to those who may have a harder time coping mentally with life’s unforeseen obstacles and chaos.

Now more than ever we need to shift our focus on health beyond the physical.

Don’t forget your mental health

We often talk about focusing on eating clean and physical activity, but we have yet to put a spotlight on mental health in the same capacity. Anxiety and depression is real. Dealing with mental health issues is real.

So let this inspirational quote remind you that you are not alone in dealing with your feelings of anxiety, sadness, stress or whatever it may be. I encourage you to make the effort to prioritize your mental health in the same way you would make your physical health a priority.

Our life journey involves the mind, body and soul.
