*This is not a sponsored post. I used my own funds to purchase the Healing Hearts Candle. The following are my honest opinions and review.
If you have been following my blog here at Impurrfectlife.com, you know this blog aims to help bring comfort, validation, and solutions to those experiencing pet loss. By following my journey and sharing my lessons, I hope to provide tools and tips for others that help them during this difficult time.
It’s been a few years since my youngest cat Dusty passed away at almost 14 years old. I’ve seen a few interesting products online, and while surfing the net on my Twitter, I discovered Pet Perennials. I appreciated thoughtful gifts that helped take the morbidity out of pet loss.
Pet Perennials is a company that offers products that pet owners can positively memorialize their pets while being environmentally friendly. From planting seeds to candles, they have a good selection of products.
Pet Perennials Healing Hearts Candle
I happened to be on Twitter when I saw an ad for Pet Perennials. I had it in mind to one day buy their seed planter set where you can plant seeds combined with your pet’s ashes and make a memorial plant in honor of your pet.
However, on a random day a few weeks ago, I was on Twitter when I saw an ad for Pet Perennials Healing Hearts Candle that said, “Find out what message will your pet say from Rainbow Bridge”? I thought, hmm, interesting concept. I love candles too. Let me see what this Healing Hearts candle is about. So after payday, I purchased my Healing Hearts candle for $17.99 and received it in the mail.
Due to a mailing address error, however, after calling customer service to straighten things out, I received my candle and goodies in 48 hours. I must say their customer service was very responsive and professional.
Package Received & How it all works.
So here is what came in the mail. I received my candle and a Pet Perennials seed package included in the box. I also received a lovely handwritten note. The package also included instructions on how to read the secret message from your pet.
The candle is a lavender and chamomile scented soy candle made in the USA. Burning time, I estimate at well over 12+ hours. I only burned for about 8 hours. It’s best to follow the instructions. Burn the candle for 4 hours per session. I still have at least half of the wax remaining.
The healing heart’s candle has a heart-shaped gemstone at the base of the candle. Pet Perennials provides a chart that shows what each symbol means.
After burning my candle for several hours, this is what I saw.

My keepsake message from Rainbow Bridge revealed a turquoise stone. The guide’s translation lets me know, “Your love for me was pure and simple. Let my spirit nourish you as water refreshes the earth.”

Review & Final Thoughts
Reading this message further affirmed what I already knew; however, I found this experience comforting and exciting. There is a sense of suspense, wondering What will your cherished pet want you to know from Rainbow bridge? I found that part exciting.
After spending my money to buy this candle, I would recommend this product to grieving pet parents. I would also suggest this product to those who know someone suffering from pet loss as a thoughtful gift.
This bereavement candle package was unique and special. I have not seen or heard of anything like it on the market.
Also, my experience with Pet Perennials’ customer service was excellent. They were very responsive and went above and beyond by including a handwritten note and added Pet Perennial seed planter product with my order.
That was a bonus I didn’t expect as I did not order that, and not sure if that was part of the candle package. However, it was a nice added touch to ensure customer satisfaction as a customer. I appreciate it.
That’s my experience with Pet Perennials. I give them four paws up!! If you care to check out what they offer, you can check out their YouTube channel or website here.

I can feel your honesty in this product review, and the love you have for pets, it is a mystery sometimes how these things work, but from your analysis, i can’t wait to get my hands on this candle. Thanks.

This would be a wonderful thing to give a friend dealing with pet loss. I think teens who’ve had their pets since childhood are especially taken aback by their grief, and something like this would allow them to memorialize the pet.

Great post. Love the idea of this brand.

I am glad you had such a good experience with this product. I was not aware of “healing candles” before this and I think the idea is fantastic. They wait for us in Heaven and a little reminder now and again that they haven’t forgotten about us is good for the heart.

What a lovely and unique concept. I love candles anyway, and we may have many burning on any given day. This would be a wonderful gift of solace to a friend who has lost a beloved fur-kid. Thanks for the great review.

What a lovely, lovely idea. This is something I can certainly recommend to clients when they lose a beloved pet. I bet it smells lovely too.

I can see how the candle could be a really thoughtful gift for someone who has experienced pet loss. The grief people feel when they lose their pets is so great. I especially like the idea of planting seeds in memory of your pet. The planting could be incorporated into a memorial service too with the candle burning. How touching!

I really love this concept! I also love candles (and lavender). It’s a lovely, simple concept, but I imagine brought you much comfort. I would definitely order one for a friend and maybe for myself as well. My heart dog passed in 2013 and I still miss him everyday.
Lola The Rescued Cat
I really like this concept. I miss my babies every day, no matter how long it’s been. I will keep this in mind for a gift.

It is lovely to see a light and relaxed post about something to do with out pets who have passed.
It is too easy to become serious and bleak about pets and pet loss (sort of all work and no play – does that make sense?) so this is a wonderful idea! I will go and check their website!

What a lovely idea. It’s so hard to find the right gift for a grieving pet parent. This is very touching. The heart at the end is so sweet. Thanks for sharing.

What a nice product to help grieving pet parents. We all need comfort in different ways and this candle sounds like the perfect item. The hand written note with the package was a very nice and sensitive touch.

Thank you for sharing your review! I recently saw an ad for this product as well, but did not know anyone who had purchased one before. It seemed like such a unique (and comforting) concept, and I’m glad to hear you had such a positive experience with their customer service as well.

I love this!! I think that’s SO sweet, and what a great way to honor your pets. The candle is lovely.

Thanks and I’m sorry for your loss too.

So true! I understand what you mean. This experience takes the morbidity and negativity out of loss and turns it into something loving and more positive. I hope that makes sense.

Beth,
Glad to share my review. Hope it helped you out. 🙂

It sounds like a lovely way to memorialize a pet. Does the turquoise stone seem like Dusty to you? I was reading the key and I think I would be disappointed if I had the moonstone.
Dorothy "FiveSibesMom"
That’s really, really lovely. I’d be so anxious to burn the candle to see the message! Your message from Dusty is beautiful. I have tears! Thank you for the review…this is something I’d really like. I’d love to see what message my Gibson would send!
Sadie
That is such a beautiful concept. I am so grateful for this post – sadly, most of us will know of at least one person that will be in need of something like this. I absolutely love this. Also really like the idea of the planter. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Beth,
The tourquoise did kind of seem like Dusty to me, however honestly my heart wishes the message was longer. Like “Mom, your love was pure. You did the best you could. I’m happy and whole now. Don’t worry” But that was wishful thinking. Yes I agree about the moonstone…wouldn’t give me much validation.
