Spring 2018 Life update and checking in!
It is mid-March and Spring is almost here…I hope. Actually, as I type this blog post it is sleeting on the East Coast in the USA at the moment. If you aren’t familiar with the term “sleeting”, it refers to a mix of rain and snow at the same time. Oh yes, mother nature is hanging on to winter time like her life depending on it. Just when you thought warmer days are ahead, we get reminded who’s in charge! Anyways, since Spring is on the horizon and we are a quarter way through the year I wanted to give my readers a Spring life update and let you know what I’m working on.
If you have been following me on the blog you know that at the start of 2018 I mentioned I’m adding a new dimension to Impurrfectlife. I will be sharing more of my personal artwork and vlogs with you on the blog. So, today’s special feature Friday post will feature two works of art I’m currently working on as well as a quick roundup of a few blog posts published in the last 30 days or so you must check out. Let’s get started with this Spring 2018 Life update.
Contentment
In this clip I describe my thought process of how I came up with the design and theme for this piece of work, including start to finish completion of the piece. Enjoy.

Beachside visitor
In this clip I describe my thought process in creating this relaxed beach side painting with a few finishing touches left to be done.

I think the Contentment piece of artwork spoke the most to me. There’s nothing like having one of my girls in my arms!
Agree!
I love visual art and am thrilled that you are continuing to explore painting AND sharing your work with us! Thank you! And keep on keepin’ on…
Thank you so much for the kind words and support! Happy you are enjoying the content and art work. 🙂
I just love the eyelashes that you put on the first kitty in Contentment. I could hear her purr. Thanks for sharing your process…maybe someday I will get around to painting something other than walls 🙂
Thank you Amelia!
Thanks for sharing your process, it’s really interesting ! I love the beachside visitor piece it’s so peaceful.
Love & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
I love that you chose ‘happy colours’. The face of the cat is precious and even though we can’t see her face, we can feel the love in the woman’s heart.
🙂
Bold choices of colour. I love that! Like you I do a check-in but mine is in June a “mid-year” review if you would. I find it so helpful! Staying on track, let go of things that no longer drive me etc.
Sonja,
Yes. I’m learning this as I continue my blogging journey…figuring out what’s working and what doesn’t. My fellow bloggers and readers do enjoy my “everyday life” content and i do like to keep ya’ll informed and be transparent. 🙂 Thanks for the kind words and look forward to your check in later this year.
I always love your artwork, the stories behind the pieces and your quotes. Your blog is unique in so many ways and just love it.
Ruth,
Thank you so much! (blush)
I always love reflection posts like this one. They remind me to go read any posts I may have missed. I like how you included both a video round-up and text with hyperlinks. It’s smart to give your readers choices like this.
Irene,
Thank you so much. You can expect more video posts in the future from me. So stay tuned. Appreciate the feedback and support! 🙂
I enjoyed learning more about your process. Your narration is great!
Thanks Beth! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love how colorful your artwork is, and that you’re sharing it more on your site. Which looks absolutely crisp and fabulous I might add!
Heather,
Thank you so much. Appreciate it! 😀
Yes, my picture of contentment looks just about the same, except with a dog 🙂 Beautiful paintings.
Jana,
Naturally!! 😀 Thanks so much!
I love your artwork, the colours are so vibrant! Great idea to do a round up blog post too, not only for your readers but also for you as a reminder of what you have achieved!

JoeHx,
Thank you!
I love your artwork but am I the only one who is having immense trouble hearing these?
Hi Caren,
Thank you so much! Hmm I haven’t gotten any feedback about the volume but will keep that in mind to double check in my next video. Thanks for the compliments and continued support. Appreciate it!
I can’t draw/paint but I love watching other people who can! I went to an art walk the other day and it was fun talking to the artists and learning about their work.
April,
I love exploring and learning about anything creative. Sounds like fun!
Your artwork is so fresh and speaks directly to the heart. Love the colors and simplicity.
