Monday Inspiration # 87- Enjoy the little things
It’s the start of a brand new week and it’s time acknowledge taking time to enjoy the little things. This message is simple yet so important.
Personally experiencing a tumultuous year of challenges from death of family members to social injustices and a pandemic, I have had some time to reflect on how this year has impact my daily life. I know I’m not alone.
One of the biggest takeaways I’ve learned this year is to grateful and enjoy the little things. What do I mean? I mean I enjoy little things like clean running water and toilet paper! Can I get an Amen? Think about how fortunate most of us are to even have running water and a bar of soap.
Often times we really do not appreciate the little things until they are gone. This includes everything from items as simple as toilet paper, bleach and sanitizer to missing the wagging of the tail of our furry best friend. Missing the time spent together with loved ones or belly rubs with your furry best friend is simple but priceless.
Take time to cherish your furry family members who are here and living now as well as remember and cherish the memories of those who have passed on. Be grateful for family and loved ones in your life for tomorrow is not promised.
Enjoy the little things that make your heart smile and laugh along the way. It’s in the little things that the biggest impact on our hearts remember.
Remember the first time you heard “I love you” from your significant other or “We brought home a new family member Fluffy”. These are the little moments that don’t cost a thing that we cherish in our hearts forever.
So as this year comes to a close remember to enjoy the little things this holiday season and be grateful you have memories and moments to cherish and reflect on.
