Monday Inspiration #53
One misconception about experiencing grief is that there is a time limit or an end date to grief. I’m sorry to inform you that grief actually does not have a time limit. I’ve learned that grief doesn’t have an expiration date but rather you learn to live with it. After suffering loss you learn to create a new normal for yourself. Eventually the pain lessens however I truly feel that the deeper the love connection the deeper the grief. I think that’s why the heartbreak is so strong, because we loved so hard for our loved one. There can’t be pain where there is no love.
With that said, I also firmly believe that our greatest struggles can produce our greatest inspiration. Turn a negative into a positive. That is one of the reasons I started blogging. Sharing my experience with pet loss and living life after loss is relateable to so many others. Other grieving pet parents need to know that you can find joy after pet loss. Just know that when it comes to grief, take it one day at a time. Time does help to heal. You will smile again.
