Monday Inspiration #90 – Where is the empathy?

If there is anything that living in a pandemic and experiencing loss has taught me is that not everyone practices empathy. I understand that although an event may not impact my life personally, I put myself in that person’s shoes. Anything that can happen to someone else can also happen to me. I’m no better than the next person. This is why this quote resonated with me so much. I do not know about you, but I have been in the position where I’ve experienced loss and encountered those who vocalize insensitive comments. So it leads me to ask, ” Where is the empathy?” Can you relate?

As humans we have great ability in many areas in terms of knowledge, creativity, communication, and building however our ability to empathize and practice unconditional love, like our pets, is lacking. We can learn so much from our family members with paws. Although we are on top of the food chain, we are not first place in practicing unconditional love, care, and compassion like our furry friends.

Let this be a quote to ponder on this week and share in the comments if this also resonated with you.

I always enjoy your blogs☺️. A lot of people do not have empathy. I am not sure if they see it as a sign of weakness or they feel entitled. I see it as a sign of someone caring about your situation even if they have experienced it or not. Put yourself in someone’s place. Your right .. we could all take a lesson from our furry friends and their unconditional love we maybe there would be more empathy in this world.

Thanks so much! I’m glad this post resonated with you too. And I couldn’t agree more. We as humans should take note of how animals behave…with care, empathy, and unconditional love!
