Monday Motivation #80 – Light and goodness conquers all.
Life is a set of challenges. We have ups and downs and everything in between. I must confess when we all ushered in the new decade of 2020 I felt things were going to be so much better than 2019. It would be a whole new reset. Surely things would have to start to turn around. And then COVID-19 happened and George Floyd happened. Adding to this, the ever present and escalating social and political unrest. We are all dealing with our everyday challenges and struggles and then add to the mix all of these things. It’s all so overwhelming and depressing.
Remember
But as a Believer and optimist I have to remember that in the darkest of times that we are stronger than our obstacles. We were built for this life. We are worthy. Remember that everything that is on TV or in print is NOT 100% true. These are only slivers of truth. Fear is a powerful tool. Don’t discount your personal experiences and interactions with others. Realize that sometimes ignorance of others are the result of lack of knowledge and operating out of their own narrow lens. And on the other spectrum, you will encounter those that are a blessing in disguise and have the experience and knowledge to know that there is much more goodness and light in the world than perceived at times. Knowledge of history of the past is key to learning and making wiser choices for the future. The ability to learn from others experiences in order to redirect your own path is priceless. Choose love, unity and wisdom over fear, anxiety and division. Your body and mind will thank you for it.
Light outshines the darkness
You are stronger than you think. Hang in there. In these chaotic times it’s easy to be convinced hope is lost. Retrain your mind to look at things through a different lens. Just maybe all these challenges, struggles and injustices are all part of a build up for a bigger revelation. Like a storybook with the building of a climax to a happy ending, we all are part of a bigger story. We all have our part to play. But at the end of the day, the sun always rises again. Light outshines the darkness and goodness conquers all.
