Monday Inspiration #16
This quote really resonates with me and in particular, the essence of this blog because this quote really illustrates what it means to say farewell to a beloved pet. As pet parents we fully understand that statistically and quite literally 95% of the time we will outlive our pets, but it doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. However, despite the short time we have with our furry family members, I know I would not trade those moments for anything in the world. And hence today’s Monday inspirational quote “Tis better to have love and lost, than to have never loved at all. “

“Tis better to have love and lost, than to have never loved at all.” Yes, I do agree but grief and loss are heavy on my heart & mind so I’m not in an emotional place were I can find that inspiring…yet! I will get there tough…
Sending you positive vibes!!
Yes! Absolutely. Every cat I lose devastates my heart. But I wouldn’t trade a day of life with them to avoid that hurt.
Holly,
Agree! Same here!!
I agree with this quote wholeheartedly! Since I’ve had pets all my life, I’ve had to say goodbye to many and it is heartbreaking. However, I will have pets as long as I am able to take care of them because the joy they bring outweighs the pain of the sorrow. I had a few breakups before I married my husband, and while only one was devastating, I became a stronger person as a result. Although I can’t say the happy memories of that relationship were worth the pain, I think it was an important process for me to grow as a person.
Beth,
Well said. I agree 100% especially about the part of caring and adopting them far outweighs the pain of losing them. What our furry friends give us far exceeds the amount of sorrow. I cannot imagine finishing my life journey without adopting again. I know I will someday soon.
One of my favorites as it is so true when I look back at my life
I LOVE a post about quotes. A few simple words can lift a person at the most desperate moments ir a time of stress.

Thank you for sharing this….I had two cats who passed away a couple of years ago and I cried for ages! It’s so hard. I love animals. I now live with my boyfriend and his cat and honestly can’t imagine a life without pets! 🙂 x
Laura,
So sorry about your loss of your two cats. However I am happy to know you found joy again with your boyfriend and his cat! Win win!
